What Would You Do With Six Months?

After a bad fall that injured both of my knees, I had no choice but to hit pause on my active lifestyle. Once I moved past the initial frustration, I began to feel excited about all the projects and unfinished tasks I could finally tackle during this unexpected “downtime.”
Fast forward three months—and I was surprised, even a bit disappointed—to realize I had barely made a dent in that list. Instead, most days I felt deeply tired. My body wasn’t asking for productivity; it was asking for rest. In its wisdom, it knew that true healing would come not from doing more, but from slowing down. And eventually, I listened.
This morning, while journaling, I realized it was the last day of June. Where did the first half of the year go? I wondered. How had six months passed so quickly—and what did I have to “show” for it?
My first instinct was to be self-critical, to focus on what I hadn’t achieved. But then, something in me softened. I reminded myself: the second half of the year is still ahead. What do I want to experience? Who do I want to become? What goals feel meaningful and purposeful now?
Suddenly, the possibilities felt endless—and exciting. I get to choose. No rules. No right or wrong. Just the freedom to author the next six months with intention and heart.
And so do you.
Here are a few questions to reflect on as you envision the rest of your year:
• What makes me feel truly alive—and how can I bring more of that into my life?
• Where do I find meaning and inspiration?
• How do I want to contribute and serve? What impact do I want to make?
• Which relationships do I want to nurture and deepen?
• Am I caring for my physical and emotional health? What new habit would support me?
• Am I experiencing joy and playfulness? If not, how can I create more of that?
• How am I practicing self-care, really?
When 2025 draws to a close, how do you want to feel?
Embrace the powerful truth: you get to choose.
